Transforming Faith: CM Reviews Inspiring Development Plans for Bhadrachalam Temple
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has announced a strategic initiative for the renowned Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy Temple in Bhadrachalam, as he directed that development works be aligned with Agama Shastra principles. This decision aims to enhance the temple without disrupting its serene natural surroundings, with a target completion date for the first phase set for March 31, 2027.
During a review of the proposed development plans, the Chief Minister outlined a three-phase approach to the project, emphasizing the importance of minimizing any disruptions for devotees. He urged officials to pinpoint specific components of the development that could be completed in time for the upcoming Godavari Pushkaram, which draws significant numbers of pilgrims and tourists.
Revanth Reddy highlighted the necessity to improve the ghats near the temple to comply with Pushkaram requirements, an essential aspect for the numerous visitors expected for the festival. He also evaluated various design proposals that were created based on the land acquired thus far for the developmental work.
The review meeting included Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, along with several ministers and senior officials, all of whom discussed the feasibility and impact of the proposed changes. Minister Konda Surekha, Tummala Nageswara Rao, and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, along with MPs Vem Narender Reddy and P. Balaram Naik and Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao, were present to contribute insights and strategic direction for the temple’s enhancement.
This initiative aligns with the government’s broader vision to preserve and promote cultural heritage while meeting the needs of the visiting public, ensuring that Bhadrachalam remains a key pilgrimage site.
