
Financial Times Reveals World’s Top Business Schools — FT Rankings
The Financial Times has published its latest ranking of the world’s top online MBA programmes, with IE Business School of Madrid holding the No. 1 spot for a fourth consecutive year. IE stood out for the largest reported salary uplift among alumni, with graduates citing a 42% increase in earnings after completing the programme.
Imperial College Business School took second place and reported the highest average alumni salary, nearly $254,000 (about Rs 2.38 crore). The London-based school also ranked second globally on the research metric, underscoring the strength of its academic output.
Warwick Business School rounded out the top three, leading the rankings on the “career growth” measure, which assesses alumni advancement in seniority and organisational scale. Warwick’s alumni reported an average salary of $234,799.
This year’s list saw Bayes Business School enter the rankings for the first time, debuting at fourth place. The University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business was placed fifth, with alumni earning close to $212,000 on average. The University of Porto secured sixth overall and was rated highest for value for money.
European institutions again dominated the upper tiers of the table, highlighting the region’s continued strength in business education and a growing market for flexible learning formats. The FT’s rankings reflect factors such as salary outcomes, career progression and research, and they underscore how online MBA programmes are increasingly enabling working professionals to advance without pausing their careers.
