Anmol Bishnoi Fights Back: Courtroom Battle Against Threats from ‘Pakistani Thug’ Demands Bulletproof Vest Protection!
A Delhi court has extended the National Investigation Agency’s (NIA) custody of deported gangster Anmol Bishnoi for an additional seven days. Special Judge Prashant Sharma ordered the extension during a high-security hearing at the NIA headquarters, extending custody until December 5. Anmol Bishnoi is wanted for various serious crimes, including the murder of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Baba Siddique and an assault on actor Salman Khan’s residence. His alleged involvement in the high-profile killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala further complicates his legal troubles.
Deported from the U.S. on November 18 after being detained there last year, Bishnoi is now the 19th individual arrested in relation to a terror syndicate reportedly led by his jailed brother, Lawrence Bishnoi. According to reports from the Indian Express, his legal representative, Advocate Rajani, submitted an application requesting additional safeguards for Bishnoi’s protection, citing threats made through social media by a self-identified “Pakistani gangster.” The application urges the court to instruct the NIA to ensure adequate armed police protection and to transport Anmol Bishnoi in a bulletproof vehicle while he wears a bulletproof vest.
Advocate Rajani underscored the seriousness of these threats, referencing a specific incident that took place in March 2025, where a grenade was reportedly thrown at the residence of a social media influencer following similar online threats from a foreign-based gangster. “This incident demonstrates a clear pattern of escalation from threats to real-world violence,” she noted in her submission.
The application also mentioned an alleged Instagram post where the Pakistani gangster purportedly “threatens” Lawrence Bishnoi, demanding his brother’s protection. Rajani argued that the continuous nature of these threats raises a legitimate concern for Bishnoi’s life and safety. “Given the demonstrated pattern of actual violence, there is a genuine apprehension of imminent danger to his life and liberty,” she asserted.
The NIA’s investigation revealed that Anmol Bishnoi had been on the run since 2022, actively assisting designated terrorist Goldy Brar and his brother in various acts of terrorism from abroad. Bishnoi is accused of providing logistical support to the gang’s shooters and operatives while orchestrating extortion schemes within India from his base in the U.S.
His name has been linked to several high-profile cases, including the investigations surrounding the murders of Sidhu Moosewala, as well as the high-profile assault involving Salman Khan. With a growing body of evidence against him, Bishnoi’s involvement in these events paints a troubling picture of international criminal networks operating at home and abroad.
As this story unfolds, it highlights the alarming intersection of organized crime, social media threats, and the legal battle for justice in India.
