Tom Felton Revives Draco Malfoy: A Must-See Broadway Experience!
Tom Felton brought the house down at the Lyric Theatre with his triumphant return to the Harry Potter universe, stepping into the role of Draco Malfoy in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Fans erupted in cheers as he took the stage, and Felton embraced the moment, playfully announcing, “I need a favour.” A clip shared on the show’s official Instagram captured his entrance, humorously referencing a classic Malfoy line: “It’s true then, what they’re saying on the train. Tom Felton has come to Broadway.” Longtime fans appreciated the nod to Sorcerer’s Stone.
Felton has made history as the first film cast member to join the Broadway production, which will run for 19 weeks, according to Deadline. He revealed earlier this year that seeing the iconic blond Malfoy wig again brought him to tears. “I just immediately cried. It felt like a blast from the past,” he expressed.
However, revisiting Draco Malfoy is not merely a nostalgia trip for Felton. He acknowledged that portraying an adult Malfoy presents new challenges. “I knew him quite well as a kid. I don’t know him that well as an adult,” he remarked.
Cursed Child picks up 19 years after the original saga, featuring Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Malfoy’s children as they navigate life at Hogwarts, with Felton once again overseeing the magical halls.
