Udalguri Police, acting on specific intelligence, successfully recovered a cache of explosives and ammunition in the Dimasunga Jungle area of Lalpani, under the jurisdiction of Mazbat Police Station. The operation was conducted by a specialized team led by the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Bhergaon.
During the search, authorities seized two live grenades, 55 rounds of live ammunition, one detonator, and several related materials. This significant operation underscores the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to address security concerns in the region.
In connection with the recovered items, police arrested a suspect identified as Papu Koch, who is also known by the alias Bijoy Axom. Officials reported that Koch provided crucial information, directing the police team to the location where the explosives were concealed.
