India and Luxembourg Unite for Revolutionary Advances in Science and Space
India and Luxembourg have renewed their commitment to enhance collaboration in the fields of science, technology, and space exploration. In a recent meeting held in Delhi, Science and Technology Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh and Christian Biever, the Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, discussed strategies to promote Indian space startups in European markets.
During the meeting, Dr. Singh emphasized India’s growing status as a global leader in science and innovation. The country ranks among the top three worldwide in terms of scientific publications and startup activities. The Ministry of Science and Technology noted that the discussions were aimed at furthering joint initiatives in innovation-driven sectors, including cybersecurity, quantum technologies, and artificial intelligence.
Dr. Singh highlighted that the Chandrayaan-3 mission has positioned India as a dynamic hub for space manufacturing and research. He pointed out the active collaboration between India and Luxembourg, citing that two Luxembourg satellites were successfully launched aboard the PSLV rocket. Additionally, he mentioned the participation of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in the Space Resources Week 2024 organized by the Luxembourg Space Agency, underscoring the expanding collaboration between the two nations.
