Transform Your Commute: Essential Traffic Diversions for Elevated Corridor Work Between Paradise Junction and Dairy Farm Road
The Hyderabad Traffic Police has announced significant road closures and traffic diversions starting October 30, 2025, to facilitate the construction of an elevated corridor between Paradise Junction and Dairy Farm Road on NH 44. This initiative is expected to impact traffic for approximately nine months.
According to an advisory from Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) D. Joel Davis, the section between Rajiv Gandhi Statue junction and Balamrai will be closed in both directions throughout the construction period. Commuters are strongly advised to avoid the Balamrai-CTO stretch, as heavy congestion is anticipated due to ongoing work.
Traffic traveling from Balanagar toward Panjagutta or Tank Bund should consider taking an alternate route via Tadbund, heading through Mastan Café, Diamond Point, Mudfort, NCC, and JBS. Similarly, vehicles coming from Suchitra in the same direction are encouraged to use the route that passes through Safe Express, Bapuji Nagar, Centre Point, Diamond Point, Mudfort, NCC, JBS, and SBI.
For motorists heading from Tank Bund, Ranigunj, Panjagutta, Rasoolpura, or Plaza toward Tadbund via CTO Junction, diversions will be in place at the Rajiv Gandhi Statue junction. Traffic will be rerouted towards Anna Nagar, Balamrai, and Tadbund. Residents of Anna Nagar wishing to travel toward Panjagutta or Tank Bund are encouraged to utilize local bylanes-specifically Meeting Point bylane, Hockey Ground bylane, and the law and order police station bylane-or to proceed through Balamrai.
In light of these changes, the Traffic Police have emphasized the importance of staying informed. Commuters are encouraged to follow real-time updates through the police’s official social media channels. For immediate assistance, the traffic helpline at 9010203626 is available for emergencies.
As the city begins this new infrastructure project, the Traffic Police urge all road users to plan their journeys wisely and consider alternative routes to minimize delays. The authority’s proactive measures aim to ensure a smoother transit experience during the extensive construction period, marking a significant step toward enhancing mobility in Hyderabad.
With these developments, residents and visitors alike should prepare for changes in their daily commutes. By staying informed and adapting to the new traffic conditions, the community can help ensure the project’s success and the safety of all road users during this period of transformation.
