Progress of Longding’s Working Women’s Hostel: MLA Wangham Inspects Site
The construction of a Working Women’s Hostel in Longding is advancing well, with local MLA Thangwang Wangham personally overseeing the site to ensure it meets its scheduled completion. During his visit, Wangham was accompanied by Ranka Nani, Assistant Engineer of the Water Resources Department, the project contractor, and the land donor. He took the opportunity to review the progress and urged everyone involved to expedite their efforts.
Once completed, the hostel will offer safe and affordable accommodation for women employees earning below ₹35,000 per month. The facility is set to be managed by a dedicated warden, creating a supportive environment tailored for the working women of the Longding district.
This initiative forms part of a broader effort across Arunachal Pradesh to enhance infrastructure for working women, aimed at cultivating a positive and secure working environment throughout the state.
Wangham expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, and Women and Child Development Minister Dasanglu Pul for their commitment to such progressive initiatives. He also highlighted the necessity of more infrastructure projects focused on women, emphasizing the importance of increasing women’s participation in the workforce.
