Over 100 New Members Strengthen BJP’s Sivasagar Base Ahead of Election
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Sivasagar experienced a significant surge in membership on Monday, as more than one hundred individuals joined the party, drawn by its ideologies and developmental initiatives. The joining ceremony took place at the BJP Sivasagar district office, with notable attendance from district President Bitupan Raidongia, BJYM District President Samiran Bordoloi, and senior party leaders Manasjyoti Handique and Pranjal Kotoky.
A notable contingent from the Barua Pukhuri Gaon Panchayat, located in the greater Charing area, was led by former Youth Congress leader Pranjit Bhuyan, along with several other Youth Congress office-bearers, in making the transition to the BJP. Present at the event was Charing Mandal president Debajit Baruah, who, along with other leaders, welcomed the new members wholeheartedly. They encouraged the gathering to collaborate in strengthening the party’s presence at the grassroots level, especially in light of the upcoming assembly elections.
This influx of new members not only signals growing support for the BJP in Sivasagar but also underscores the party’s commitment to fostering a larger base ahead of crucial electoral contests.
