Arunachal CM Champions Sports Development with Innovative ‘PEMA 3.0’ Initiative
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has reaffirmed his government’s strong commitment to enhancing sports and developing young talents throughout the state. This pledge is part of the “PEMA 3.0 — Year of Reforms & Growth” initiative, which has already shown significant progress.
In a recent post on social media, Khandu shared an infographic that illustrated the state’s sporting achievements and ongoing reforms designed to create a robust and inclusive sports ecosystem. The infographic underlined Arunachal’s increasing recognition on both national and international stages, showcasing the state’s substantial investment in youth and sports development.
Khandu pointed out that Arunachal athletes have won over 1,200 medals in various competitions. He also highlighted the successful launch of the Arunachal Olympics Mission, a flagship program aimed at identifying and nurturing promising athletes from grassroots levels.
The Chief Minister noted that the state government has introduced significant cash incentives for sportspersons, alongside major infrastructure improvements to enhance training facilities. These initiatives are intended to establish Arunachal Pradesh as a prominent force in the national sports arena.
Furthermore, Khandu emphasized that the government’s long-term vision centers on empowering youth through sports, fostering discipline, and nurturing a sense of pride and identity among the next generation of athletes in the state.
