Unveiling Joy: BGUS Opens New Office Just in Time for Vibrant Ganesh Festivities from August 27 to September 6!
The Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi (BGUS) has officially announced that the 46th annual Ganesh festivities in the twin cities will kick off with idol installations on August 27, culminating in a grand immersion ceremony on September 6. This year’s celebrations will also honor significant anniversaries, including the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the 125th birth anniversary of Shyam Prasad Mukherjee, and the centenary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
BGUS President G. Raghava Reddy and Secretary R. Shashidhar shared this information with reporters following the inauguration of their new central hub office at Baheti Bhavan in Siddiambar Bazar. They emphasized the importance of these festivities, noting that they generate more than ₹5,000 crore in revenue and foster a sense of community among participants.
In a bid to promote local businesses, the Samithi has urged all pandal organizers and devotees to utilize indigenous products during the festival. This initiative, in collaboration with the ‘Swadeshi Jagran Manch,’ aims to raise awareness about supporting local artisans and industries.
Safety and organization are also high priorities for this year’s celebrations. The BGUS plans to work closely with various government departments, including police and municipal authorities, to facilitate a smooth and secure event. This collaboration will help pandal organizers secure necessary permits, implement safety measures, and ensure that essential civic amenities are in place for the festivities.
With the festive spirit in the air, the BGUS is committed to ensuring the Ganesh Utsav is a peaceful and joyous occasion for all participants. The community is encouraged to come together and celebrate, while also embracing the rich cultural heritage and local economy that these festivities represent.
As the dates draw closer, the anticipation among devotees is palpable, marking another year of time-honored traditions and the vibrant celebration of Lord Ganesha.
