APCC नेता पर ज़िला परिषद टिकट के लिए 10 लाख स्वीकार करने का आरोप
Allegations of widespread corruption have shaken the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) as claims emerge that Panchayat election tickets were sold for significant sums in Sribhumi district. The controversy primarily revolves around APCC General Secretary Aminur Rashid Choudhury, commonly known as Shamim, who faces accusations of collecting hefty payments for dispensing party tickets.
Reports indicate that Selim Uddin, a hopeful candidate for the Srimanta Kanishail Zila Parishad constituency, allegedly paid Rs 10 lakh to secure a nomination from Congress. However, the ticket was later awarded to another candidate, who reportedly offered a higher bribe. Uddin lodged a formal complaint with both the All India Congress Committee (AICC) and the APCC, yet no action appears to have been taken so far.
The situation escalated when a video allegedly showed Choudhury handling stacks of cash. Compounding the issue, an audio clip has surfaced, purportedly featuring a conversation between Sribhumi District Congress Vice President Bishwajit Ghosh and a ticket aspirant. In the recording, Ghosh is allegedly heard instructing the aspirant to send money to Guwahati and to communicate directly with Choudhury, stating, “We have already handed over what needed to be given.”
The emergence of these video and audio recordings has incited public outrage and raised serious concerns about transparency and accountability within the Congress party. Uddin’s assertions, alongside the growing evidence, suggest a troubling lack of response from the party regarding the serious complaints. This inaction has fueled speculation that the alleged bribe money may have been distributed among individuals beyond those directly implicated.
