National Leaders Unite in Praise of India’s Bold Precision Strikes on Terror Camps
Guwahati, May 7: In the wake of the recent Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 civilian lives, political leaders across India have rallied in support of the Indian Armed Forces’ decisive military action termed “Operation Sindoor.” This operation has been widely viewed as a powerful response to the brutality faced by innocent civilians.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah took to social media, stating, “#OperationSindoor is Bharat’s response to the brutal killing of our innocent brothers in Pahalgam. The Modi government is resolved to give a befitting reply to any attack on India and its people. Bharat remains firmly committed to eradicating terrorism from its roots.” His message emphasized the government’s stance against terrorism, reinforcing the need for national unity.
Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, expressed his support for the Armed Forces, proclaiming, “Proud of our armed forces. Jai Hind!” His words resonate with a nation mourning yet determined, underscoring a collective resolve to face such challenges head-on.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge also voiced his party’s unwavering backing for the military efforts. He remarked, “We are extremely proud of our Indian Armed Forces, who have struck terror camps in Pakistan and PoK. The Indian National Congress stands firmly with the Armed Forces and the Government in decisive action against cross-border terror.” This endorsement highlights political unity in the face of national security threats.
Support for the operation extended beyond Congress, with leaders from other parties echoing similar sentiments. RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav stated, “India and the Indian Army never tolerate terrorism. When our unity is attacked, we respond unitedly,” emphasizing the imperative of national cohesion against such attacks.
Arvind Kejriwal, the Aam Aadmi Party chief and former Delhi Chief Minister, also heaped praise on the military’s actions. “We are proud of the Indian Army and our brave soldiers. 140 crore Indians stand with the Indian Army in this fight against terrorism. We are all united. Jai Hind!” He noted the significance of national solidarity during these trying times.
Atishi, Leader of the Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, congratulated the armed forces on the success of Operation Sindoor, reinforcing that “the entire country stands with the Indian Army in this fight against terrorism.” This message of support reflects a broader consensus among political leaders as they unite under a common cause.
Chief Ministers from various states also expressed their solidarity, with strong endorsements from West Bengal’s Trinamool Congress, Tamil Nadu’s M.K. Stalin, and Karnataka’s Siddaramaiah. The latter offered condolences to the families affected by the Pahalgam attack, stating, “I hope the families who lost their loved ones in the Pahalgam massacre find some peace and comfort in the heroic valour of our soldiers who destroyed the terrorist bases.”
“Operation Sindoor” serves as a significant tri-services initiative aimed at dismantling established terror infrastructure. The operation’s name, derived from the vermilion traditionally used in Indian culture, symbolizes tribute to the widows of Pahalgam, who have expressed gratitude for the government’s swift response to avenge their loss.
As the country reflects on the tragedy and the military’s response, the commitment to eradicating terrorism remains at the forefront, fostering a sense of unity and resilience among Indian citizens.
