Badaun Brawl: Six Arrested in Fierce Parking Dispute Chaos
Six individuals were arrested in Badaun on Monday evening following a violent altercation among community groups that stemmed from a dispute over vehicle parking, according to local police reports.
The incident unfolded as a group of villagers was returning from an event aboard a tractor-trolley. Their path was obstructed by a cluster of motorcyclists from Kutarahi village, who had parked their bikes on the roadway. The motorcycle riders, identified as members of a minority community, reportedly delayed in moving their vehicles, which sparked a heated confrontation.
What began as a verbal disagreement quickly escalated into a physical clash as more individuals gathered after hearing about the dispute. Authorities reported that seven people from both groups sustained injuries during the altercation.
Local residents intervened to de-escalate the situation, and a police team arrived shortly after receiving reports of the conflict. The injured individuals were promptly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police indicated that some of the accused were under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.
Medical personnel provided first aid at the facility, and the injured were subsequently discharged. An FIR has been filed against seven named individuals and several unidentified assailants at the Alapur police station.
To prevent further unrest, additional police officers have been deployed in the area. Alapur Station House Officer (SHO) Udayveer Singh confirmed, “We have arrested six persons in connection with the case, and further investigation is underway. We are actively working to identify additional suspects.”
This incident highlights the ongoing tensions within the community, emphasizing the need for continued dialogue and prevention measures to avoid similar confrontations in the future.
