Expected Weather Conditions in Northwestern and Central India to Persist

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning that a spell of isolated to scattered rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds, will continue to affect the plains of Northwestern and Central India today. This comes after a similar situation was observed yesterday.

The IMD has predicted that light to moderate rainfall, along with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds, will hit scattered to fairly widespread areas across Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. The region can expect a drop in maximum temperature by 3-5 degrees Celsius over the next three days, followed by a gradual rise of 2-4 degrees Celsius in the subsequent four days.

Additionally, lightning and strong winds are expected to occur in isolated areas of Kerala, Mahe, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Telangana. Isolated instances of lightning are also predicted in Arunachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, and Karnataka. Residents in these areas are advised to take necessary precautions and stay updated with the latest weather alerts.
