Railway Connectivity in Chhattisgarh to Receive a Major Boost

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has announced a significant development in the state’s railway connectivity, stating that the upcoming 5th and 6th railway line projects between Kharsia, Naya Raipur, and Parmalkasa will revolutionize the entire network. The ambitious project, worth a staggering 8,741 crore rupees, received sanction in a cabinet meeting last week and has been ranked among the top ten priority projects of the railways.

According to Minister Vaishnaw, the project will provide direct connectivity to previously underserved areas, including Baloda Bazar, and alleviate congestion on existing routes. Key features of the project include the construction of 21 new railway stations, 48 bridges, and 349 small bridges. When completed, the project is expected to be a game-changer for the state’s transportation infrastructure.

The minister also proudly touted a significant increase in the state’s railway budget, which has risen an impressive 22 times since the UPA regime, from a mere 311 crore rupees to around seven thousand crore rupees this year. This substantial increase highlights the government’s commitment to investing in the state’s infrastructure and improving the overall quality of life for its citizens.

The emphasis on upgrading Chhattisgarh’s railway network is a testament to the state’s growing importance in the national economy.
