Empowering Tomorrow’s Minds: Assam Government and ITC Limited Launch Groundbreaking Initiative for Early Childhood Development
Assam News: ITC and Assam’s Directorate of Women and Child Development Partner to Bolster Early Childhood Development
In a significant move to improve the lives of young children in Assam, the Directorate of Women and Child Development has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ITC Limited. The agreement, signed on April 2, aims to enhance early childhood care, education, development, and nutrition across the state, with a special focus on both aspirational and developed districts.
Under the partnership, the two entities will work together to address the needs of seven aspirational districts – Hailakandi, Goalpara, Dhubri, Barpeta, Baksa, Udalguri, and Darrang – as well as Nalbari, Morigaon, Kamrup Metro, and Kamrup. The goal is to bridge the gap in these areas and ensure that every child has access to quality education and healthcare.
“This partnership is a significant step towards realizing the vision of a healthy, educated, and empowered future for the children of Assam,” said a spokesperson for the Directorate of Women and Child Development. “By working together, we can create a lasting impact on the lives of young children and their families.”
The MoU will see ITC Limited providing expertise and resources to support early childhood development initiatives, including nutrition and health programs, education, and community engagement. The joint efforts will focus on creating a supportive environment that enables children to thrive and reach their full potential.
The partnership is seen as a major boost to Assam’s efforts to improve the lives of its most vulnerable citizens. With the support of ITC Limited, the state government can now scale up its early childhood development programs and make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children.
The partnership is expected to have a significant impact on the state’s development goals, particularly in the areas of education and healthcare. By investing in the early childhood years, the state can create a strong foundation for future growth and development.
In a statement, ITC Limited expressed its commitment to supporting the people of Assam and empowering vulnerable communities. “We are proud to partner with the Directorate of Women and Child Development and contribute to the development of the children of Assam,” said a spokesperson.
The MoU marks a significant milestone in the partnership between ITC Limited and the Assam government, and both parties are looking forward to a productive and successful collaboration.
