New Brewing Destination: Araku Coffee Stalls to Permeate Parliament Premises
BREAKING: Araku Coffee Set to Whip Up a Storm in Parliament’s Cafés
The Parliament of India is about to get a boost of flavour and aroma, thanks to the introduction of world-renowned Araku Coffee in two stalls within the premises. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has given the green light for the setup, paving the way for Andhra Pradesh Girijan Cooperative Corporation (GCC) to bring this unique coffee experience to the heart of Indian politics.
According to sources, GCC officials, who have already arrived in New Delhi, are busy preparing for the grand opening of the outlets. To make the occasion more special, Minister for Tribal Welfare G. Sandhya Rani will be joining them to bless the venture. The team has also curated special Araku Coffee gift packs for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers, and other dignitaries as part of their initiative to promote this tribal-origin coffee.
The move is being seen as a significant milestone in the global recognition of Araku Coffee, which has already gained international recognition. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has expressed his desire to see Araku Coffee reach the stature of a global brand like Starbucks in the future. In his address on International Women’s Day, he praised the coffee for its rich aroma and its association with tribal farmers, who are the backbone of its production.
Interestingly, the Prime Minister himself had praised Araku Coffee during his “Mann Ki Baat” segment in June last year, highlighting its rich flavor and aroma. The coffee is cultivated on a large scale in Andhra Pradesh’s Allu Sitarama Raju district, involving around 1.5 lakh tribal families. In July, the Chief Minister was thrilled to know that Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra was set to open a second café serving Araku Coffee in Paris.
The initiative is also a testament to the success of Naandi Foundation’s Arakunomics and GCC, which has empowered tribal communities in the region. The Chief Minister has expressed his optimism about seeing more success stories emerge from Andhra Pradesh in the future, as the state works towards its vision of becoming a major player in the global coffee industry. With Araku Coffee set to entice the taste buds of Indian leaders and officials, this historic initiative is all set to leave a lasting impact on India’s coffee scene.
