Coordinator Operation Rescue: Police in Arunachal Pradesh Save Three Minor Girls from Assam
In a swift and coordinated operation, the Papu Hills Police in Arunachal Pradesh successfully rescued three minor girls, aged 14 to 15, who had gone missing from Duliajan in Assam’s Dibrugarh district. The girls, who had boarded a train to reach Tinsukia, mistakenly arrived at Naharlagun Railway Station on Wednesday. After being found, the minors received immediate medical care and were placed in a safe environment at Oju Shelter Home.
According to Naharlagun SP Mihin Gambo, the police received a sudden distress call about the missing girls and quickly sprang into action. With the active support of Duliajan Police, they were able to trace the girls’ parents and formally hand them over to their families at Papu Hills Police Station.
"This was a tricky case as the girls had provided fake information about their destination, leading to a momentous journey. Our prompt response and coordination with the local authorities ensured that the girls were rescued and reunited with their families in a safe and timely manner," Gambo emphasized.
