Despite this, the broader market took a hit, with the BSE Sensex declining by 200.85 points or 0.27% to close at 73,828.91. The NSE Nifty also fell 73.30 points or 0.33% to settle at 22,397.20. Real estate, IT, and auto sectors bore the brunt of the selling pressure, resulting in five consecutive days of losses for the Sensex.
