Sikkim Shop Caught Selling Poultry Chicken Despite Meat Ban

In a surprise move, a shop in Gyalshing, Sikkim, was found to be in violation of the state’s meat ban, which prohibits the slaughter and sale of meat from February 28 to March 14. The ban was imposed by the Ecclesiastical Department as part of the observance of Buddhist holy days.
