UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Announces Additional Bonuses for Maha Kumbh Workers
As the Maha Kumbh comes to a close in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a series of initiatives to reward the dedicated workers who have been instrumental in making the event a success. In a special interaction with sanitation, health, bus operators, and policemen associated with the Maha Kumbh, the Chief Minister unveiled additional bonuses for the sanitation and health workers, bus drivers, and sailors who have worked tirelessly to ensure the smooth operation of the mega event.
Bonuses for Sanitation and Health Workers
Sanitation and health workers who have been working tirelessly to maintain the cleanliness and health of pilgrims during the Maha Kumbh will receive an additional bonus of 10,000 rupees. Additionally, those who do not receive a minimum wage of 16,000 rupees per month will now receive a monthly stipend of 16,000 rupees, which will be transferred to their accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.
Additional Bonuses for Bus Drivers and Sailors
Bus drivers who have been operating on the roads during the Maha Kumbh will receive an additional bonus of 10,000 rupees, while sailors will be provided with boats under a scheme from the Chief Minister’s fund. Each sailor will be registered under the program and will receive:
- Security insurance of 5 lakh rupees
- Health insurance of 5 lakh rupees
The Chief Minister’s announcements aim to recognize the significant contributions made by these essential workers to the success of the Maha Kumbh, one of the largest gatherings of pilgrims in India. The additional bonuses are expected to provide a much-needed boost for these workers, who have been working tirelessly to ensure the event’s smooth operation.
