KAAC CEM Tuliram Ronghang Inspires at Public Meeting, Proudly Honors Outstanding NCC Cadet Gracie Marak
Diphu, Assam: KAAC Chief Advocates for Community Dialogue and Recognition
Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) Chief Executive Member (CEM) Tuliram Ronghang reinforced the council’s commitment to addressing public concerns during a meeting held at Pam Ingti village’s playground, Namati MAC constituency, on Saturday. CEM Ronghang assured attendees that the KAAC actively listens to grievances and strives for effective solutions.
Highlighting the event, CEM Ronghang honored Gracie Marak, the NCC commander who accompanied the Prime Minister at the Republic Day celebration in Delhi, with a Karbi turban, a citation, and a cash reward of Rs. 50,000, acknowledging her accomplishments.
The meeting saw the presence of notable dignitaries including KAAC Chief Secretary Si-im Taro, local MAC and KAAC Executive Member Ritesh Inghee, MLAs Darsing Ranghang, Bidya Sing Engleng, Rupsing Teron, MP Amarsing Tisso, among others.
Earlier this month, a significant public interaction meeting took place under the umbrella of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council initiative at Dhoujukja playground, Semson Sing Ingti High School, Howraghat. This gathering, themed "Let’s unite, let’s interact, let’s develop," aimed at engaging with local community issues.
Addressing the gathering, CEM Ronghang emphasized the importance of this being the first official KAAC meeting in the Howraghat MAC area. He reiterated that the session was more than a traditional public meeting; it served as an essential platform for directly tackling local challenges. Ronghang pledged that the council would earnestly consider public opinions and memorandums collected during these interactions.
With proactive dialogue being at the forefront, these meetings have established foundational steps for fostering community development and responsiveness to local concerns in the Karbi Anglong region.
