Unleash the Power: Tamannaah Bhatia Battles Darkness as a Sadhvi in Odela 2’s Supernatural Thriller Teaser from Mahakumbh
The teaser for “Odela 2,” directed by Ashok Teja and written by Sampath Nandi, was unveiled at the Mahakumbh on February 22, 2025. This supernatural thriller is a sequel to Sampath Nandi’s 2022 crime thriller “Odela Railway Station” and features Tamannaah Bhatia in a transforming role as a sadhvi named Shiva Shakthi. The film follows her journey to the village of Odela, guarded by the deity Odela Mallanna Swamy, where she must confront a malevolent force claiming control over the five elements.
Hebah Patel, who played the female lead in the original film, also returns for this sequel, which takes a different narrative route into the supernatural. The newly released teaser, with a runtime of one minute and 52 seconds, intriguingly hints at the plot without giving too much away. It highlights the mystical and ominous challenges that Tamannaah’s character faces in her quest to protect the land and its legacy from evil. The cinematic experience is further enhanced by Ajaneesh Loknath’s music and Soundar Rajan S’s cinematography. Sampath Nandi takes credit for the film’s story, screenplay, dialogues, and directional oversight.
After the teaser launch, Tamannaah expressed her enthusiasm, mentioning that what started as a modest idea has grown significantly, and she feels blessed to have launched the teaser at such an auspicious location. To prepare for her role, she even studied the body language of sadhus, providing authenticity to her character.
Produced by D Madhu and Sampath Nandi under Madhu Creations and Sampath Nandi Teamworks, “Odela 2” includes a cast featuring Vasishta N Simha, Yuva, Naga Mahesh, Vamshi, Gagan Vihari, Surender Reddy, Bhupal, and Pooja Reddy. While the official release date of the film remains unannounced, the teaser suggests it’s coming soon, with promising potential to captivate audiences.
