Emotional Farewell: Ozzy Osbourne Promises Iconic Moments with Black Sabbath at Final Concert
Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary frontman of BLACK SABBATH, has confirmed that he will perform “little bits and pieces” with the band during his final show. This performance, part of the “Back To The Beginning” concert, is scheduled for July 5 at Villa Park in Birmingham, UK, marking the first time in 20 years that Ozzy will reunite with original BLACK SABBATH members Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward. The event, a farewell to his performing career, will feature performances by bands inspired by BLACK SABBATH, including METALLICA, SLAYER, and more.
Ozzy, who has been grappling with Parkinson’s disease and various health issues, has not played a full show since 2018. Despite his challenges, he remains determined to participate in the concert. Speaking about his condition, Ozzy shared, “I have made it to 2025. I can’t walk, but… I’m still alive.” His wife and manager, Sharon Osbourne, revealed that while Parkinson’s has affected his mobility, his singing voice remains strong, adding, “His voice is as good as it’s ever been.”
The concert will also host a “supergroup” featuring renowned musicians like Duff McKagan, Slash, Billy Corgan, and more, performing iconic SABBATH and Ozzy songs. Proceeds from the event will benefit Cure Parkinson’s, the Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorn Children’s Hospice.
For Ozzy, this concert provides a much-needed opportunity to say goodbye to friends and fans. Sharon explained, “Ozzy didn’t have a chance to say goodbye… This is his full stop.” Despite past health setbacks that forced the cancellation of his European tour and other appearances, the “Prince of Darkness” remains excited and grateful for this chance to perform one last time with his bandmates.
