Ramakrishna Dalmia, a prominent business tycoon in pre-independence India, remains a figure of intriguing complexities both in professional prowess and personal affairs. Emerging from a humble background in Chirawa, Rajasthan, he founded the influential Dalmia Group, despite lacking formal education. His business acumen positioned him as one of India’s richest industrialists, trailing only Jamshetji Tata and Ghanshyam Das Birla.

Dalmia’s personal life, however, attracted as much attention as his business endeavors. Known for his romantic escapades, he married six times. His relationships were tumultuous, including a discreet marriage to Pritam, a young Punjabi woman, while still wed to his second wife, Durga.
