Heartfelt Tribute: PM Modi & Shah Honor Pulwama Heroes with Powerful Airstrikes Response in Pakistan
Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the nation in honoring the memory of the CRPF personnel killed in the 2019 Pulwama terror attack, paying tribute on its anniversary. Modi expressed, “Homage to the courageous heroes we lost in Pulwama in 2019. The coming generations will never forget their sacrifice and unwavering dedication to the nation,” via a social media post.
The attack, orchestrated by a suicide bomber driving an explosive-laden vehicle into a bus carrying CRPF personnel on February 14, 2019, resulted in the tragic loss of 40 soldiers. In response, India conducted the Balakot airstrike as a retaliatory measure, significantly altering global perceptions of India’s stance on terrorism.
During an event marking the conclusion of the 38th National Games in Haldwani, Union Home Minister Amit Shah acknowledged the sacrifices of the jawans, highlighting that their martyrdom reinforced the nation’s border security. He also praised Prime Minister Modi’s decisive retaliation through airstrikes in Pakistan, emphasizing that the Pulwama attack and subsequent airstrikes reshaped global attitudes towards India. Shah indicated that these events sent a stern warning to global terrorist elements against undermining India’s security.
In Jammu & Kashmir’s Lethpora-Pulwama, the CRPF organized a ceremony to pay homage to the fallen soldiers, attended by both military and civil administration officers. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha joined in the tribute, further reinforcing the nation’s gratitude and respect for the CRPF personnel.
This commemoration underscores India’s commitment to honoring its armed forces while affirming a robust stance against terrorism.
