Exciting Insights: CS Reviews Readiness for Historic Assembly Session in Kokrajhar
GUWAHATI, Feb 12: Assam’s chief secretary, Ravi Kota, spearheaded a detailed review on Wednesday to assess preparations for the upcoming Budget session of the Assam Legislative Assembly (ALA) set for February 17 at the BTC Legislative Assembly in Kokrajhar. This session is historically significant as it is the first outside the state capital.
During the meeting, Kota stressed the importance of detailed planning and seamless execution to ensure the session’s success. He instructed Akash Deep, the BTC principal secretary, to work urgently in coordinating logistical arrangements with various departments. Key preparations include ensuring adequate seating, catering, consistent power and water supply, functional sound systems, medical support, fire safety, traffic management, and sufficient staff deployment.
“This is a momentous occasion for Assam, and we must leave no stone unturned to make it a grand success. Every department must function in synergy to provide a flawless experience for the legislators and dignitaries attending the session,” asserted Kota. The review meeting was well-attended, featuring the BTC principal secretary, Kokrajhar’s deputy commissioner, the superintendent of police, and key departmental heads from the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC).
Kota also led inspections of the session hall, office chambers, and other vital areas within the BTC Legislative Assembly to ensure readiness for the session.
This historic session requires utmost precision in planning and execution, with officials tasked to provide a seamless experience for all attendees.
