Actress, 31, Reveals Passionate Reason for Accepting Villain’s Girlfriend Cameo in ‘Badass Ravikumar’

Actress Shivangi Verma, 31, shared her enthusiasm for her cameo role in the film “Badass Ravikumar,” where she portrays the love interest of the villain, played by Prabhu Deva. Despite the brief nature of her role, Verma expressed eagerness to be involved in the project due to her admiration for Himesh Reshammiya, marking her second collaboration with him. She highlighted the excitement of working alongside Reshammiya and appreciated the film’s vibrant energy and entertainment value.

Verma shared with IANS that her decision to join “Badass Ravikumar” was driven by her appreciation for Reshammiya’s work. She previously featured in his song “Tere Pyar Mein” from the album “Suroor 2021,” which is also included in the film. Although the song now features another leading lady, she believes the song’s magic remains impactful for the audience.

Reflecting on her first day on set in Muscat, Verma recalled the familiar and welcoming atmosphere, with the same team she worked with on her previous project with Reshammiya. The journey, from costume trials to filming, was smooth and fulfilling for her. Professionally, Verma is currently shooting another film with veteran actor Govind Namdev and is hopeful about its success.

“Badass Ravikumar,” directed by Keith Gomes, is a musical parody action film starring Himesh Reshammiya as the lead, with notable actors like Johnny Lever, Saurah Sachdeva, Kriti Kulhari, and Sanjay Mishra in key roles. The movie serves as a spin-off to the 2014 film “The Xpose” and has performed well at the box office, gathering Rs 2.75 crore nett in India on its opening day. It released alongside “Loveyapa,” featuring Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor, which collected Rs 1.15 crore initially. The film promises a high-energy, entertaining experience for its audience.
