Stirring Call for Change: Kishan Reddy Sparks Hope Among Telangana with Double-Engine Government Vision
Union Coal and Mines Minister G. Kishan Reddy, also the Telangana BJP president, asserted that the people of Telangana desire a “double-engine” BJP government, aligning state administration with the central leadership for enhanced development. This statement was made during a celebratory event at the Telangana BJP headquarters, commemorating the party’s significant victory in the Delhi Assembly elections.
Reddy highlighted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) returned to power in Delhi after 27 years, a win he attributed to the strong support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s development initiatives at the national level. He expressed confidence that the dual governance model in Delhi would accelerate the city’s development and cited rapid growth in states like Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Maharashtra under similar governance.
The celebrations saw participation from BJP leaders, including MPs K. Laxman and Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, alongside numerous party workers who expressed their enthusiasm with slogans, firecrackers, and sweets. Subsequently, Reddy convened a meeting with BJP corporators from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to address civic issues and strategize for the upcoming MLC elections and the GHMC standing committee elections on February 10.
It’s noted that recent political shifts in the GHMC, including the defection of Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi and others from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) to the Congress, might influence the standing committee elections’ outcomes. This evolving political landscape adds a layer of complexity to the BJP’s campaign efforts in the region.
Through these discussions and celebrations, the BJP aims to strengthen its foothold and resonate with the aspirations of Telangana’s people, promising rapid development under a dual governance framework akin to that seen in other BJP-led states.
