Guwahati: Renowned singer and music director Amit Trivedi is scheduled to perform at Alcheringa, the annual cultural fest of IIT-Guwahati, on February 1. He will headline the Crescendo Night on Day 2, dedicated to musical performances.
The 29th edition of Alcheringa is slated for January 30 to February 2 at IIT-Guwahati, boasting a vibrant lineup of over 100 competitions, performances, and social initiatives. This year, the theme “Arcade Core” seeks to evoke creativity, diversity, and artistic brilliance by blending art, technology, and nostalgia.
Festivities will commence on January 30 with Saaz – The Classical Night, featuring famed flautist Rakesh Chaurasia. The festival promises to be an exciting convergence of talent and innovation, drawing participants and audiences from diverse backgrounds.
Meanwhile, Guwahati is grappling with deteriorating air quality, as the Air Quality Index (AQI) recently climbed to 258, indicating serious pollution levels.
