Empowering Yuva Shakti: PM Modi Inspires a Thriving Future in Nation-Building
Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the crucial role of India’s youth in building a developed nation during the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Addressing nearly 3,000 participants, he expressed confidence in the transformative power of “Yuva Shakti” to realize “Viksit Bharat” soon.
Modi highlighted his deep trust in young Indians, describing himself as a ‘Param Mitra’ (true friend) to them. This trust has spurred initiatives like MYBharat.com, an effort by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports to empower the youth through education, skill-building, and social mobility. He reaffirmed Swami Vivekananda’s enduring vision as a guiding force for Indian youth and drew parallels between today’s youth-driven mission and the unity seen during India’s independence struggle.
During the event, Modi visited an exhibition showcasing innovative ideas and launched a compilation of essays on technology, sustainability, women empowerment, manufacturing, and agriculture. The two-day dialogue, inaugurated by Union Ministers Mansukh Mandaviya and Raksha Khadse, along with leaders like Anand Mahindra and ISRO Chief S Somnath, aims to give the youth a platform for actionable ideas that contribute to a developed India.
This platform marks a departure from traditional National Youth Festival formats, resonating with Modi’s Independence Day call for engaging one lakh youth in politics and public service, beyond political divides. The discussion commenced with a ceremonial tribute to Swami Vivekananda, reiterating his principles as a beacon for India’s progress.
Overall, the event underscored the role of young leaders in shaping the nation’s future, echoing a broader mission of national development fueled by youthful energy and innovation.
