In a testament to Mukesh Ambani’s strategic business acumen, Reliance Industries’ subsidiary, JustDial Ltd, reported a significant 42.7% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit for the third quarter of the fiscal year 2024-25. The net profit surged to Rs 131 crore, up from Rs 92.01 crore in the same period last year. This performance highlights the impact of Reliance Retail’s acquisition of a 66.95% controlling stake in JustDial in July 2021 for Rs 3,497 crore.
The company’s Q3 results also revealed its highest-ever quarterly revenue of Rs 287.33 crore, marking an 8.4% growth over the previous year’s same quarter revenue of Rs 265.05 crore. The EBITDA margin saw a remarkable increase to 30.1% compared to 22.8% in the previous year, with EBITDA standing at Rs 86.6 crore, a growth of 43.4%.
Despite these impressive financial metrics, JustDial’s shares fell by 3.83% on the National Stock Exchange, closing at Rs 1,034, although this decline occurred before the Q3 results were publicly announced post-market closure. Total income increased to Rs 364.74 crore, a 7.3% rise, while total expenses decreased by 1.55% to Rs 215.57 crore.
