Empowering Minds: Education and Pure Thought Essential for a Thriving Society – CM’s Vision
Agartala, 25th December 2024: Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, speaking at a winter clothes distribution event at Sri Sri Mahanam Angan Ashram in Banamalipur, emphasized the significance of mental purification through education for societal welfare. He highlighted the importance of adopting a social way of thinking and distancing from unrighteousness and antisocial behavior as core principles of practicing human religion. The event underscored the ashram’s role in promoting social welfare through various initiatives, including blood donation, drawing inspiration from Mahanambrat Brahmachari’s ideals. Notably, Brahmachari was the second Indian, after Swami Vivekananda, to deliver a memorable speech at the World Religions Congress.
During the event, attended by Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumdar, MLA Ratna Dutta, and other dignitaries, Dr. Saha and guests distributed winter clothes to over a hundred needy individuals, demonstrating tangible support for the community.
Later, Chief Minister Saha, accompanied by Mayor Majumdar, visited the Sundari Kali Mandir in Kansaripatti to review ongoing renovation works. He offered directives to ensure efficient progress of the project, reflecting his commitment to cultural and infrastructural development within the region.
The Chief Minister’s engagement at the ashram and his supervisory visit to the temple underscore his focus on both social service and infrastructural improvement in Agartala. His call for education-driven purity of mind aims to foster a community oriented towards progressive societal contributions.
