President Droupadi Murmu conferred the prestigious President’s Colours on the College of Defence Management (CDM), Secunderabad, marking a historic achievement for the eminent institution. This accolade, the highest honor for any defense establishment, recognizes CDM’s significant contributions to the professional military education and strategic leadership training of the Indian Armed Forces since its inception in 1970.

Speaking on the occasion, President Murmu highlighted India’s focus on integrating emerging technologies and artificial intelligence within defense systems to boost efficiency and competitiveness on the global stage. She underlined the necessity for the Indian defense forces to adopt and excel in emerging and disruptive technologies to remain future-ready and globally competitive. The President praised CDM for its pivotal role in equipping future strategic leaders with the necessary skills and knowledge to embrace these technological advancements.

Furthermore, President Murmu stressed the importance of aligning with the Self-Reliance (Atmanirbharta) initiative and urged the defense forces to stay informed about the changing paradigms in warfare across multiple domains. In her interactions with officers from allied nations participating in CDM courses, President Murmu extended her best wishes for their future endeavors.
