Kyiv, Nov 30: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has expressed a willingness to resolve the active conflict with Russia in return for Ukraine’s swift admission into the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO). As reported by Interfax-Ukraine and Xinhua, Zelensky emphasized the urgent need to shield Ukraine’s territories under Kyiv’s control with NATO protection. According to Zelensky, achieving this would halt the ongoing hostilities.
Moreover, Zelensky highlighted a diplomatic approach to reclaim territories currently under Russian control. He stressed that any NATO invitation should affirm Ukraine’s internationally recognized borders, underscoring the importance of a ceasefire to prevent further territorial aggression by Russia.
