Shocking Air India Pilot Suicide Case: Accused Held in 5-Day Custody as Police Uncover ‘Hidden Secrets’
In the tragic case involving an Air India pilot’s alleged suicide, authorities report that the accused is withholding crucial information. The individual has been placed in police custody until Monday. According to a report by NDTV, the deceased, 25-year-old pilot Srishti Tuli, was discovered dead at her rented apartment in the Andheri area of Mumbai. Her family has accused her 27-year-old boyfriend, Aditya Pandit, of abetting her suicide, claiming he insulted her for eating non-vegetarian food at an event.
Following the incident, a complaint was lodged by her relative, Vivek Kumar Tuli, which led to the filing of a First Information Report (FIR) under Section 108 of the Indian Penal Code. The police arrested Pandit, who hails from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, and does not have a prior criminal record. He was detained on November 25 and remanded to police custody for further investigation until November 29.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Pradeep Mirale has stated that Srishti Tuli’s body was found and subsequently taken to Seven Hills Hospital for a post-mortem examination conducted by a panel of expert doctors. The investigation, led by Police Inspector Ganesh Patil, is in progress, with efforts focused on uncovering all relevant evidence and reaching a thorough conclusion.
ACP Mirale added that while there are no previous criminal cases against Pandit in Maharashtra, the investigative team is also examining his background in Gorakhpur. As the investigation continues, authorities aim to uncover any additional details that may contribute to understanding the circumstances leading to this unfortunate event.
