Maharashtra’s caretaker Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde, emphasized on Thursday that there are no hurdles concerning his role as the Chief Minister of the Mahayuti alliance. During his visit to Delhi, Shinde highlighted the significance of the title ‘Ladla Bhai,’ which he values above all other designations. He is set to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah and other leaders of the alliance to discuss the formation of the government.
Shinde assured that he would respect any decision made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the leadership of Maharashtra. In a recent press conference in Mumbai, he stated that he would be willing to step aside if his presence posed an obstacle to the state’s government formation. His assurance reflects his commitment to the alliance and its unity.
BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis reiterated the unity within the Mahayuti alliance, discounting any internal differences. He affirmed that decisions within the alliance are made collectively, and the Chief Minister’s appointment would follow a similar process after consulting with party leaders.
In parallel, NCP leader Ajit Pawar held discussions with party members in Delhi, indicating ongoing political maneuvers among key parties involved in the alliance. Fadnavis and Shinde both aim to dispel doubts around the Chief Minister’s selection, maintaining that decisions have been and will continue to be collaborative within the Mahayuti alliance.
