Urgent Rescue Mission Unfolds: One Missing After Heart-Wrenching Boat Collision in Dibru River

A collision between two boats on the Dibru River has resulted in one person missing. The incident occurred when a boat with four passengers capsized near Dinjan Ghat during its journey to Dadhiyal in Dibrugarh, Assam. A nearby vessel quickly responded, rescuing all four individuals from the sinking boat. However, during this rescue, those on the assisting boat also fell into the water. Among them, Manoj Beriya was reported missing.

The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) has initiated a search operation to find the missing person, which is currently ongoing.

In other news from Assam, a female police officer has been accused of assaulting a woman and an infant in Jorhat, leading to the filing of a complaint.
