Heartwarming Transformation: Kerala Superstar Mohanlal’s Son Pranav Embraces Farm Life, Caring for Goats and Animals
Pranav Mohanlal, son of Malayalam megastar Mohanlal, appears to have set his sights beyond the film industry, gravitating instead towards the simplicity and fulfillment of a farming lifestyle. According to a report by Manorama, the young Mohanlal is currently engaged in a ‘Work Away’ program on a Spanish farm, where he barters his labor for food and accommodation. His mother, Suchitra, disclosed that although she reviews film scripts each year, Pranav is presently absorbed in this offbeat venture, valuing experiences like tending to horses and goats over monetary gains.
Suchitra clarified that Pranav’s choices are his own, and he is guided more by personal convictions than familial persuasion. Although she wishes for him to engage in more film projects, Pranav seeks to maintain balance in life, a philosophy she occasionally concurs with. This distinctive path has led people, including his cousins, to observe that Pranav often follows his own counsel. Despite being new to showbiz, comparisons with his illustrious father, Mohanlal, are rife, though Suchitra is quick to emphasize that Pranav, affectionately called Appu, is carving out his own identity.
Pranav Mohanlal first entered the spotlight in the 2003 film ‘Punarjani,’ earning the Kerala State Film Award for Best Child Artist. He returned to cinema as an assistant director in 2015, working under Jeethu Joseph on films like ‘Papanasam’ and ‘The Life of Josutty.’ In 2018, he took center stage with his debut lead role in ‘Aadhi,’ which became a major box-office success and earned him the SIIMA Award for Best Debut Actor. In this film, Pranav also showcased his musical talent with the song “Gypsy Women.” Further solidifying his cinematic footprint, he starred in the acclaimed 2022 film ‘Hridayam.’ Despite these achievements, Pranav is taking a step back to focus on personal growth and unconventional pursuits, setting him apart from his father’s celebrated legacy.
