Previously a critic of the BJP, Vikrant indicated a shift in his political stance, acknowledging improvements under the current government. He rejected the perception that India is going through tumultuous times, instead asserting that the country’s development is apparent, emphasizing enhanced infrastructure and changing lifestyles. Vikrant shared a personal anecdote about improved connectivity in a small town in Himachal Pradesh, where improved road infrastructure has notably decreased travel time.
The actor also discussed the evolution of ideologies in India, noting that instead of a Left versus Right dichotomy, there now exists a Right versus Anti-Right division. Highlighting the positive recognition he received from the government, Vikrant mentioned his film “12th Fail” being showcased in government schools to inspire students, adding to his view of progressive changes in the nation.
