The Hyderabad police’s Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) conducted a successful operation on Saturday, apprehending several Bangladeshi nationals involved in an alleged brothel operation at Lakdi-ka-pul. Acting on a tip-off, officers raided Hotel Akshaya, resulting in the arrest of three individuals, including a 27-year-old customer. During the raid, they rescued three young women, aged 20, 21, and 22, hailing from West Bengal, Assam, and Hyderabad. The operation was reportedly managed by 36-year-old Salim Mondal and his wife Maria Imchen, who resided in Tranquil Abode Apartment in Narsingi. They allegedly ran the illicit activities out of rooms 104 and 204 of the hotel. Authorities are actively pursuing Suman Kumar Guru, also known as Ravi Kumar, believed to be the mastermind trafficking women from Bangladesh. Seized during the operation were a small quantity of ganja and mobile devices, which, along with the arrested individuals, were handed over to the Saifabad police for further investigation.
