Despite the unwelcome challenge, the megastar ingeniously concealed his injury during the shooting of several films, including "Inquilaab" and "Sharaabi". In "Inquilaab," he wrapped his hand in a handkerchief as a style element, while in "Sharaabi," he artfully kept it tucked inside his pocket. Reflecting on this period, Bachchan shared in his blog that work continued without pause, revealing glimpses of behind-the-scenes tales that remain undisclosed.

In 2020, the ‘Sholay’ actor provided insights into his recovery, expressing how his burnt fingers eventually healed. He took to social media to reflect on the painstaking rehabilitation process, mentioning the challenges of restoring finger mobility. Reports reveal that the incident led to considerable frustration for Bachchan, as he struggled to regain movement in his thumb and index finger. Nevertheless, his perseverance paid off, allowing him to continue hosting grand Diwali parties at his Mumbai residence over the years. In 2022, after a hiatus, the superstar’s family revived their annual Diwali celebrations, with Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan hosting a star-studded event at their home, Jalsa. However, 2023 saw a change in this tradition, as the Bachchan family opted not to host a Diwali gathering, and Aishwarya Rai left Mumbai prior to the festival.
