GUWAHATI: 26-year-old Asha Roka is set to make history as she represents India in the ‘Karate Kombat’ international event. This landmark match, scheduled for November 14 in Bangkok, pits her against Pakistan’s Anita Karim, marking the first-ever professional combat sports fight between female athletes from the two neighboring countries.
Originally from Bhopal, Roka has been intensively training in Guwahati to prepare for this groundbreaking competition. She is notably the first female athlete from India to compete at this prestigious international level in karate.
