Tripura Finance Minister Enthusiastically Reviews Spectacular Diwali Mela Preparations at Majestic Mata Tripura Sundari Temple
In preparation for Tripura’s largest festival, the Diwali Mela, Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy conducted an inspection visit to the Mata Tripura Sundari temple in Udaipur, Gomati District. Accompanied by Mata Bari Assembly Constituency MLA Abhishek Debroy and District Magistrate Tarit Kanti Chakma, the minister facilitated a comprehensive preparatory meeting to assess readiness for the upcoming event.
Addressing the media, Minister Singha Roy emphasized the festival’s significance, highlighting that it attracts thousands of devotees nationwide who gather to seek blessings from Mata Tripura Sundari. He reassured that meticulous efforts are underway to ensure the festival’s success and smooth execution. Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha has already commenced discussions aimed at preparing for the influx of visitors.
The minister also reported that prior meetings have been conducted by local officials, reinforcing the collaborative effort. During his review, he assessed logistics, including VIP accommodations, kitchen facilities, and on-site permanent offices, making critical decisions to enhance the worshippers’ experience. He acknowledged the ongoing beautification of the temple premises, aiming for completion before the festival commences, while stressing urgency for the unfinished tasks to be completed promptly.
In an additional note, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued alerts as Cyclone Dana approaches, forecasting heavy rainfall particularly impacting Odisha and the Northeastern states.
The ministry’s proactive measures underscore their dedication to ensuring an organized and memorable Diwali celebration, while their attention to infrastructure improvements aims to enrich the spiritual experience of the devotees attending the festival.
