This system is expected to move west-northwestward, potentially intensifying into a depression by Tuesday morning. Subsequently, it may develop into a cyclonic storm by Wednesday. Forecasts suggest the storm will continue moving northwestwards, approaching the northwest Bay of Bengal, near the Odisha-West Bengal coasts, by the morning of October 24th. Consequently, the IMD has cautioned fishermen against venturing into the North Bay of Bengal, and the coastal regions of Odisha, West Bengal, and Bangladesh for the next four days due to hazardous conditions.
