Salman Khan Triumphantly Resumes Bigg Boss 18 Shooting Under Tight Security Amid Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Threats
Bollywood star Salman Khan has resumed filming for “Bigg Boss 18” under heightened security measures due to threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, according to a report by Times of India. Following death threats from the gang, Khan returned to the set on Thursday night with reinforced security, including a secured accommodation within the production area. Over 60 security personnel have been deployed, and crew members are required to stay on-site until filming ends. Aadhar card verification is now mandatory for all visitors to ensure strict access control.
These enhanced protocols come in response to the alleged murder of Baba Siddique, Khan’s close friend and former Maharashtra minister, by the Bishnoi gang. The group reportedly sent a message to the Mumbai Traffic Police, demanding a ₹5 crore ransom from Khan and issuing severe threats if unpaid. As a precautionary measure, authorities have upgraded Khan’s security to Y-plus status, granting him a constant armed police escort.
The threats have a disturbing background: in April, gunshots were fired outside Khan’s Bandra residence by gang members. Additionally, the Navi Mumbai police recently arrested Sukhbir Singh, an alleged shooter in a plot to assassinate Khan, after uncovering the plan in June.
The actor halted filming last Saturday upon hearing of Siddique’s murder and rushed to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. The Bishnoi gang cited Siddique’s close ties with Khan as a motive for the murder, linking it to internal political conflicts in the Nationalist Congress Party. The situation remains tense as investigations continue.
