Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, in a meeting with heads of Central Public Sector Undertakings (CPSUs) at Hyderabad’s Raj Bhavan, urged these organizations to deepen their commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR). Emphasizing the transformative potential of CSR initiatives, the Governor highlighted their role in uplifting underprivileged communities, creating a fairer India. He encouraged support for Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) and underscored the need to aid senior citizens, advocating for healthcare services and community centers to ensure their dignity and comfort. Additionally, Varma called for initiatives focused on education and health for orphans and children in need, securing their future. During the session, Raj Bhavan unveiled 11 CSR funding proposals, with Principal Secretary Burra Venkatesham emphasizing the importance of CPSU contributions towards building an equitable society.
