NPF and LJP (Ramvilas) Dismiss Rumors of Exiting PDA Government: A Resounding Declaration of Unity
On October 14, Dimapur witnessed a refutation from the Naga People’s Front (NPF) and the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) Ramvilas concerning social media allegations about their withdrawal of support from the People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) government, led by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio. Both parties firmly denied these rumors. The NPF, in its official statement, clarified that it was unaware of any communication to the Governor of Nagaland regarding such withdrawal and affirmed its unwavering commitment to the PDA. The NPF emphasized its role in bolstering the ongoing peace process and striving for a just solution to the Naga political issue, stating that any decisions by the party are deliberate and not subject to abrupt changes. Furthermore, the NPF highlighted its dedication to preserving the cultural identity of the Naga people and other Indigenous communities in the Northeast, pledging continued advocacy for state development and engagement on pertinent issues.
Similarly, LJP Ramvilas, through its State President, S. Richard Humtsoe, dismissed the rumors as baseless. The party confirmed that no coalition leaders had either signed or acknowledged any letter regarding withdrawal. LJP Ramvilas reiterated its commitment to the PDA government, showcasing its alignment with the government’s agenda under the guidance of their National President and Union Minister, Chirag Paswan. This collective stance of NPF and LJP Ramvilas underscores the solidity of the coalition and the parties’ dedication to stability and progress in Nagaland, working collaboratively under CM Rio’s leadership to address regional challenges and foster development.
