Empowering Minds: Pasighat Unites for World Mental Health Day, Tackling Workplace Stress and Addiction
The Drug De-addiction & Rehabilitation Centre (DDRC) in Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh observed World Mental Health Day with a strong emphasis on workplace mental health. Organized by the District Health Society of East Siang, the event gathered medical professionals alongside rehab centre residents to tackle pressing mental health challenges.
Dr. Komling Perme, District Medical Officer of East Siang, underscored the importance of the occasion by examining the connection between drug addiction and mental health. The event featured a stress management session led by Clinical Psychologist Kenyam Pertin, who employed the Maslach Burnout Inventory to evaluate stress levels among inmates, doctors, and paramedical staff.
Dr. Kato Lego, the District Programme Coordinator for Mental Health, and Dr. Oson Borang, Nodal Officer at the Government Drug De-Addiction Centre, shared valuable insights on the vital role of mental well-being and highlighted the harmful impact of drug addiction.
